We have been placing dental implants since 1985. Much has changed since then and the need to keep up with the technological changes are paramount. Modern dental implants are made from a titanium alloy. Titanium is accepted by our bodies as a natural material. Our implants are manufactured in the U.S.A. and are all FDA approved and tested.
Modern implant surgery is done in a non-traumatic manor.
One amazing technological change is that we can grow or replace lost or damaged bone with L-PRF. “Leukocyte rich platelet rich fibrin†a natural material that is created from the patients own blood that is drawn in the office and spun down in a highly advanced centrifuge. This material in combination with the laser accelerates healing of bone and soft tissue. Since L-PRF comes from the patient’s own blood and not animal or cadaver sources it is superior in its abilities to speed up healing.
We can provide replacements for missing teeth with fixed or removable bridges , but the use of dental implants is much more conservative, not requiring the drilling of healthy teeth. Not only do implants replace teeth, but can stabilize jaw function and retain loose full or partial dentures. We use a 3D CAT scan to provide a 3 Dimensional image of the jaw bones to be able to place implants with out the need for bone grafting in many cases. This applies to patients that may have been previously told that they were not candidates for dental implants.
